This is an observatory site where you can also enjoy a hiking course among the trees. From the mountaintop observatory deck, you can enjoy the 360-degree panorama of Agowan Bay, Kumano-nada, and Shima Peninsula.

In this magical spot, someone talking in “Katari-ba(speaking place)” can be heard in “Kiki-ba(listening place),” 50 m away. It seems as if the rock is talking. On top of the rock is a spectacular observatory where you can see the Pacific Ocean in the distance.

Located in the north of Shima Peninsula, Nishiyama Bojo-gaoka (Hill of Nostalgy) faces Agowan Bay. You’ll forget the passage of time as you watch the islets and pearl rafts being painted red among the waves, as the sun goes down.

Silhouette of Suzume-jima Island off the coast gives an exotic impression viewed from Azuri-hama Beach. In the evening as the sun begins to paint the beach red, you will begin to feel nostalgic.

This cape, the scene of a tragic love story between a woman diver and a fisherman, commands a glorious panorama of the Pacific Ocean. The beautiful white “Bell” called “Tsubasuno-kane” stands out against the blue sky and the sea; they say that if you ring the bell, your wish will come true.

An islet near Hamajima Port
It is said that, long ago, princess Toyotama-hime winged a letter in the form of an arrow to this islet, longing for her husband and children who were away.

Small park (shokoen) on Masakijima Islet, almost at the center of Agowan Bay. Sunset as viewed from this park is glorious. This splendid scenery, of pearl rafts drawing splash patterns, Goza-misaki Cape and Kishu, can only be enjoyed from Shima City.

This unique character is peculiar to Shima City, where numerous Ise Ebi lobsters can be caught. When you visit Kuroshio Seaside Way, take a photo for sourvenir.
(Hamajima) A-4
All the way from Dotonbori, Osaka, came this Ise Ebi Lobster Monument, which is 7 m long. This is a beautiful spot in Spring, when its cherries are in full bloom. An excellent place to enjoy cherry blossom viewing and picnicking with sake.
