White lighthouse stands at the edge of the cliff, where stormy waves pound. You can visit the interior. This beautiful view of Daiozaki is frequented by artists, famous as an “Ekaki-no-machi(artists’ town).” The lighthouse commands a wide view.

This is a square-shaped lighthouse, which is very rare in Japan. You can go inside and view both serene Matoyawan Bay and the stormy waves of the Pacific Ocean. At Anorizaki Lighthouse Museum nearby historic items and documents relating to the lighthouse are displayed.

White lighthouse that watches for ships going by. During the season of Ama-ryo (women divers’ diving season), isobue (seaside whistles) of Ama (women divers) can be heard clearly, because of which this was designated one of “Japan’s 100 selected sound sceneries.”
